connectivity problem with the Demo version of NAV2009 RTC

My demo NAV 2009 seems to have a connectivity problem with the sql server. When I try to open the system it says

" A server was not found at net.tcp://localhost:7046/DynamicsNav/Service. Either the url is incorrect or the server is currently not available".

any solution?


You need to make changes in the “ClientUsersSettings.config” file, its default path for WIN XP is

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics NAV

?xml version=“1.0” encoding=“UTF-8”?>

Enter your server name/ IP instead of localhost (shown in bold here).

Additionally, if you want to change the database, then make the changes in CustomSettings.config file, whose default location is :

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\Service
