Cannot connect to RTC off the network.

Hi, Installed the Demo option of Nav 2009 sp1 on my PC which is running Windows Vista and SQL 2008 and I can access Cronus in both classic and RTC as well as SQL server option. However when I am not on the network and try to connect to RTC I get the following error.

The server “net.tcp://localhost:7046/DynamicsNAV/Service” is either unavailable or your connection has been lost. Do you want to attempt to reconnect?

Yes No

I can access the database using widows authentication in Classic with SQL server option off the network and The Dynamics Nav Service is running.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Hi Patrick, could be take a look at the eventlog for application events created by “MicrosoftDynamicsNAVServer”. There might be an description of the problem.

You could also try to connect to the local ip address 127.0.0.1 instead.
