I was posting a document (Purchase) recently for an order that fell well within the user posting date restrictions as well as G/L Setup Posting date posting restrictions and it errored reporting that the posting date was not within my range. Could anyone explain whats happening here, as soon as I opened the users posting dates it posted ok.

Posting Date on the Purchase Order may be within limits.
The error is perhaps caused by the cost-adjustment itself that tries to adjust e.g. a sale - and that sale has a Posting Date outside your limits.
The Cost Adjustment first cheks “Posting Allowed From” in G/L Zup, then in User Zup.
Thanks you for that however I have checked and the Sales Order is within my posting restrictions ?.
