Any one tell me briefly what is workflow task & Workflow approval.
What is the diff between them.??
@Kola: Here is how I categorize the Workflow Elements available in AX:
a) Approval Element: Workflow Approval Element is just one type of Workflow Element which is used for sending Workitems through an approval Process. You can set up multiple levels of approvals within a Approval Element. Just double click the Approval Element and add multiple approval steps to it. when a Work Item comes to you as part of Approval Task you have an option to Accept it or Reject it. In a ideal scenario when you approve a workitem, you will review it completely before approval.
b) Task Elements(Automated/Manual): Automated Tasks are meant to perform some tasks such as automatic posting of Work Items etc. Manual Tasks are usually assigned to people for doing some sort of Review on Work Items such as Review Vendor Invoice Matching etc. which could just be a part of an entire approval process. Manual tasks can be assigned only to a single user and then you cannot have multiple steps for a Task Element.
