VAT and VIES declaration

Hello,

I have installed Navision 5.00 + SP1 + Czech location, and, unfortunaly, no experience on czech location.

We have to send the Vat declaration payment (each 25 th day of the month) and each 3 month the VIES declaration.

As far as i know, this documents have a special format , acording to czech laws. In my company, we have a little financial package that generates this 2 documents, and now, that my company is migrating to Navision we want to test this two reports, but, i can´t found them!!!

Someone could help me please?

I hope that the two reports exist on Navision, because we got it on our little, little czech financial package…and both are as simply as push a button!!

Thanks in advance and regards

Look under the periodic activities in the general ledger. The VAT statement requires construction, but there is a VAT-VIES declaration disk option, just push the button and see what happens.

Koldo,

If you ask, so you have your reasons, why you - being in Spain, as you state in your profile - need Czech location and even reporting to Czech authorities, but exactly here the problem sits. No localized edition + FeaturePacks alone will help you - you must be familiar with Czech accounting and taxation legislation, and familiar maybe is not the right word here - you need really very good knowledge. How much Czech taxation system specialists are there in Spain? You need to hire one, if you yourself don’t belong to them…

I also have such a VAT report, run by “pushing a button” for my country, too. BUT - the Setup of underlying “Account Schedule” requires deep knowledge of how different transactions are posted to GL Accounts, how they relate to VAT accounting and VAT reporting, how different VAT PostingGroups are applied…

Thanks very much Adam, this is the answer that i am looking for.

Modris, thank you for your master class about consulting and about how hard is the life.

It looks like that you are interesting about me and my environment. I work in a multinational company with headquarters in spain (that explains why i post from spain). One of our branches is at czech republic, and there i have finance people with too many financial knowledge, but, unfortunaly, not navision (and for that reason, i have to ask for the report location).

My partner, who is implementing nav worlwide, say me that this report doesn´t exist on nav, and for that reason i ask for it to the community. Like i said, we have a little czech package with (only push button) report. and i am surprised that navision hasn´t (because it costs 10 times more).

Otherwise Modris, if this is not the forum for this kind of questions (i thnik so after read your post), i am so sorry. I thought that this was a cooperative communty that helps anybody.

Hope that you don´t lost any much time with us

Koldo

Koldo,

Seems I have written my answer in such a way, that you felt somehow offended. I apologize.

Forum IS for questions, doesn’t matter, simple or complicated. And “environment” sometimes helps answering (if you hadn’t stated yourself in your profile, from where you are, I would had suggested Czech Republic, and then my answer would had been completely different…) Besides, I remember your other post and remember what it was all about - being a moderator I read here daily almost everything – that, too, influenced the contents of my answer to you.

Many of us work in Intl environment, as Europe has become a “big village”, and not only Europe, the whole world. Its only normal, instead of trying to learn everything, to ask something to other people, for whom my “foreign” problem is “everyday work”. Not to mention problems common to everyone…

So, life is maybe really hard, but we all here are really trying to be a “cooperative community that helps anybody”, and, in contrary to M$ and Partners, are doing it on voluntary basis in our free time and free of charge [:D]

NAV gives you the ability to completely design the account schedules and VAT requirements, it costs more and has more functionality rather than restricting you to one fixed format as the localised Czech package. Anyway I have also told you where the option is and it is at the push of a button. What I will say however is the Czech local office needs some NAV experience, you will struggle to implement it locally otherwise, you may know the legal requirements, but not how NAV handles it, or the other way where you know YOUR NAV, not the Czech NAV or the Czech legal requirements - it will be hard to successfully implement using this forum as a means [:D]
