Did anyone create an integration to EU’s VAT Information Exchange System?
What I’m specifically looking for is an integration to this interface:
http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/checkVatService.wsdl
If you don’t know VIES, then this system is used to verify VAT Registration Numbers across EU. Like if you are doing business with companies in other EU countries, then you are required not only to print their VAT no. on your invoice, but you are also suggested to verify that the VAT No. that they have informed you about is actually valid. If not valid, then your company will be hold liable for the VAT you were supposed to have collected from the customer.
