Can u help me out in this. i m working in a project for a bangalore based company. they need vat. but in navision they are two options in calculating vat. In navision they are VAT Posting groups and also a vat option in Structures. so can u help me in finding out the difference between the two and which would help me in setting me for this type of manufacture based company.

This will depend upon the localised version and the local reporting requirements. In the UK we use VAT posting groups to create the correct percentage and account entries on a “Business” and “Item” combination to allow VAT to be calculated correctly on the same item depending upon the VAT requirements of the business.
