Tick financial inventory for Serial number in Tracking dimension

Hi ,

I would like to get advice from all members.

In the tracking dimension group for Serial number, my customer tick :

  1. Blank receipt allowed

  2. Blank issue allowed

  3. Physical inventory.

The item can be receipt or issue with or without serial number. For this scenario, should i tick “Financial inventory” in the tracking dimension group?

What is the impact if TICK ?

Pls advice.

HI Tan,

If you enable the Financial inventory the cost will be separated on this level. So per serial number you would have an own cost price. This also depends on the costing model you are using. If you should enable it, depends on the requirements of the business.
