Hello,

we use TFS online in our Ax 2012 environment, and starting yesterday, we are getting this error each time we open the client:

\files\axsrc

Team foundation server error

TF237121: Cannot complete the operation. An unexpected error occurred.

Unspecified error

(Windows)

Failed to update metadata cache. (Object Model)

We thought was a permission problem, but is definitely not the case, what could be the cause of it?

I’ve been getting this repeatedly.

Deleting this USED to work… but not today:

%localappdata%\Microsoft\Team Foundation\3.0\Cache

I fixed the error by hacking the TFS work item provider as outlined here:
