in Classic client menu suit Design we can assign users to each menu like we can hide some menus from some users.
i tried this in rtc client dept-mbs but still all menus are visible to all users. is it possible to hide deparment for some users
We need to create different roles and assign based on the user…remove departments menu from rtc…
You can not assign the users to menu in RTC.

we can add only lists to the role center,but dept menu contains reports documents tasks etc.

My solution was as follows:
- Create profiles in RTC by copying an existing profile and renaming it to something else.
2 Configure this profile to Remove or Add menu items (such as remove Departments Button)
To configure a profile in the RTC do this:
· Click Start and Type CMD, this opens a DOS window.
· Open Windows Explorer
· Navigate To C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\RoleTailored Client (or path to the NAV installation files)
· Click on this file Microsoft.Dynamics.NAV.Client.exe
· Click into the Navigation Bar and copy the address above
