MPS Scenario

Item = 8000 BUOM = PCS gen.prod posting group + inv + vat: anything Replenishment system : prod order Manufacturing policy : Make to stock Reorder policy =1w Item = 8001 BUOM = PCS gen.prod posting group + inv + vat: anything Replenishment system : purchase Manufacturing policy : Make to stock Reorder policy =1w create BOM 8000 Components 8001 Qty = 1 Calculate Low Level Work date 1/11/05 no check mark in the box Manuf set up for MPS/MRP Item journal — > postive adjustment for both itemS —> qty 1 Sales order for item 8000 —> qty 1 Shipping date 15/11/05 new forcasting name scenaro manu —> planning—>production forecast Nov 2005 for 8000 —> in column enter 2 Nov 2005 for 8001 —> in column enter 1 go now to manu–> planning–> planning worksheet Function calculate regenerative plan in item : put 8000 | 8001 in option : click only on MPS from 1/11/05 to 30/11/05 the results must be two line : one for sales order for item 8000 = 1 one for 8001 = 1 because it’s a component from 8000 from SO [?]I am having only in the planning one line: item 8000 = qty 1 due date 15/11/2005 BUT I CAN’T HAVE THE LINE OF ITEM 8001 WHICH IS A COMPONENT OF ITEM 8000 . DO YOU THINK I AM APPLYING SOMETHING WRONG ? CAN YOU HELP ?

if you calculate only MPS the indipendent demand (coming from forecast) for 8001 is covered by inventory. The dependent one (covering requirement as component of 8000) is not calculate, to consider also this you should calculate both MPS+MRP.

thanks elbi But really i am trying to understand what are you telling me… But I couldnt … Let me clear my question more . Item 8000 includes item 8001 as a component 8000 is independent 8001 is dependent Forecasting for 8000 is 1 Forecasting for 8001 is 1 having in inventory of 8000 qty = 1 having in inventory of 8001 qty = 1 One sales order for 8000 …dates are ar in NOV My question What must I get from the system in planning work sheet at running calculate regenerative plan only for MPS …
