Dos client to W2k server??

We have just moved from a OS/2 server to a Windows 2000 server, running SERVERN.EXE We now use TCP/IP instead of Netb. and uses Navin.exe instead of Navi2.exe as clients. We have a PC which runs DOS. Worked fine before, but now, after succesfull login as a TCP client, we get the answer from Navi, that it misses a file called ND_TCP.DDL. The file is NOWHERE!! There is a nd_TCPW and a nd_TCPF, but not the needed file. The command we run: NAVI serverno=1, nettype=TCP Is it impossible to run navigator with TCP from a DOS client?? Greetings Lars Caspersen

No you can not use TCP with Navi.exe. TCP was only introduced with the Navin-executable. I believe that you can start two serversessions, one with Netb and one with TCP. And the gain access from your dos-client. As these sessions use different protocols, you can start both of them with serverno=1. Good luck.

If your W2000 server uses Netbios you can run Navi from all PC’s. Edited by - ck on 2001 Aug 30 08:35:16
