Creating an E-mail over Citrix

We have made some developments in Navision which automatically generate E-mails on the Users PC. This all works fine, except when the user is using Navision over Citrix. It will then try to generate the E-mail using an E-mail client on the actual citrix server. We would like it to create an E-mail using the E-mail client on the Users PC. Does anyone know how we can make it do this? Thanks.

I dont think that would be possible but it depends on the mail system being used. If both the server and the client were using Outlook with Exchange server connections then both could use the same profile and the users open session on the PC would see the mail in sent items. Shannon, You can do it in two ways. 1) Set up an Outlook Client for the user through Citrix. The user then uses this Outlook client rather than the one on their PC. This we have running on site and has the same effect as using the E-mail client on their PC. 2) I’ve been told by a Citrix guru that you can set up a Messaging Profile for each user and it will achive the same thing. As Simon said - they are the options. Having the same messaging profile within and outside of the client sessions enable what you want to achieve. The only thing is that the messaing software must also exist on the server within the session. Craig Bradney
