techinical upgrade business central

i’m trying to do a technical upgrade from a NAV 2015 database in Business Central aka NAV 13 but i get an error message
“you do not have permission to read NAV app setting table”

Anyone have a solution?

Yes. You need to use a license specifically for Business Central, your NAV 2015 license will not work.

If you are a partner, then this is done from PartnerSource, where you must create a new license configuration for BC.

If a customer license, then this update changes a lot more. Previously we had CONCURRENT users, in BC it’s NAMED users. And if you had 10 users in your license before, then you will get 20 named users. So maybe start by doing the technical upgrade to NAV 2018.
