Purchase amount for second unit of measurement

In our company we purchase plywood, the UOM is Pcs, however the quotation is per m3. So
Can the system automtically calculate the m3 of the item in the item card
Can the system calculate the price per pcs or get the Purchase quantity in m3

Yes, as long as you have a Unit of Measure conversion setup to handle PCS compared to M3. In the case of a 1/2 in (12mm) x 48 in (1200 mm) x 96 in (2400 mm) sheet, I would have something like the below Item Unit of Measure table:

Buying and selling a full sheet is pretty easy, where it becomes a challenge is when you start cutting the sheet. Hope this helps.

P.S. If you use the optional Height x Width x Length fields on Item UOM, be sure you are consistent across ALL Items. I used inches in my example.

  4. Perform a recount or adjustment: If you determine that the quantity and value discrepancy is not due to pending transactions or incorrect postings, you may need to perform a physical inventory recount or adjustment. This involves physically verifying the quantity of the items in question and adjusting the inventory accordingly to match the actual count.
  5. Re-run the inventory valuation report: After addressing the potential causes mentioned above, re-run the inventory valuation report to verify that the issue has been resolved and the items now reflect the correct quantity and value.
