Nav2009 Server dll use in classic Client

Hi,

I would like to use a dll (as automation) variable in Navision 2009 Classic Client (not Role Taylored).

I would like to register the dll once on the server (not on all client machines) and use it on the client machines.

If I register it on the client I can use my automation variable successfully.

But how can I only install it once the server and use it on all clients in classic client? On the client it says, that the automation variable cannot be found.

Hi Tim,

this is purely not possible.

The classic client runs locally, all business logic is executed locally, the classic client does not even know any server.
All the classic client knows is where the database is located.
So in your case you need to install and register the DLL in all client machines.
