We are currently planing to expand our Japanese database with users from our Australian, Singapore and Hong Kong subsidiaries. As this will be a mixed language and codepage environment I’m thinking of what collation we should select. The Navision database/client is running 3.70.A. Does anyone have an idea of which one should be the best to support both the double byte sets in Japan and the English in the other companies?
Erik, I’m remembering the number EBCDIC 50931, from my old days at IBM (Windows 932?). I could be wrong, but I’m sure you can google that! No french in that codepage though! Good luck, john
Since you mention collations I suppose you are using SQL? Although the conecpt applies to Navision Server its not usually refered to as a collation. What are you currently using for the Japan implementation? And will there be any shared data amongst the three?
