Lot tracking Stock Items.

Hi,

I am using version Nav 5.1 - we are currently trying to switch all remaining Stock items to have Lot tracking however, It seems to be a mission to complete. It is coming up with stock having entries against it but i have gone through all items to make sure EVERYTHING is clear. Does any body know if there is another path to take?? Is it even possible?

Navision will not allow to change the tracking code if there is any open entries in Item Ledger Entry.

You check in Item Ledger entry for open entries as well as check Unposted PO,SO etc.

Thanks for that. I have checked all Ledgers in the Item card and they are all at zero. I am still unable to change the Item to allow lot tracking.

Any previous transactions, complete or not, will stop you making such a change to the item. Once there is history you cannot modify the basics.

Creating new item numbers is your best bet.
