when i changed the Fiscal year, the costs of my items has been changed, please click on the link below as i made it in word file as Microsoft requested as i already reported that to them, i posted it here also so that if anyone has an idea about what went wrong can share with us.

Guess you are running at NAV 5.0.
It is a matter of “average costing” in general. This “issue” has been changed in NAV 5, aot you now have an option in Inventory Setup: Average Cost Period, which affects item using Costing Method = Average. And as one of the options in Inventory Setup is “Accounting Period”, a change in periods [most likely] will cause a change in costs.
Read about this in NAV help Contents → Inventory → Inventory Costing → Average Cost.
yes, i am using NAV 5.0.
and my average costing period is “week” not “accounting period”
and i checked the help and i know the concepts there, and nothing mentioned about a change in the Fiscal year in the accounting period will cause the item costs to change.
