How to output to Word for Dummies

I learned how to output a Nav report to Excel. Is it possible to do something similar to Word?

This would be good for some Bill of Materials we like to print out.

Many years ago I was charged with this very exercise on a large bespoke project that also incorporated Excel automation.

The easiest way that we implemented Word automation was to have template documents containing macros in the templates, which Navision called to perform the system specific requirements.

What exactly would you like to achieve? I would assume on this site there should be examples of outputting to Word somewhere. Try;

Just create a form and then use the export to word function.

I’ll check into these suggestions. Basically all were trying to do is have the printout go to Word instead of the printer so we can save it as a Word document and email it to the customer.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. You can use a PDF printer though, there’s a lengthy thread about emailing PDF documents on mibuso.

We have some computers with Adobe writer. Thanks for the tip.
