Fixed asset upgrade

Hello Everyone,

In AX 2012 R2, I want to do an upgrade to an existing asset, thereby adding the value of the upgrade to to the cost/price of an existing fixed asset with 20 years useful life. The upgrade is happening 5yrs into the existing asset.

Can some give me a step by step solution to this problem.

You add the upgrade value to the FA in the Fixed asset journal. The line must have transaction type Acquisition adjustment.

And in FA module parameters you need a tick to allow multiple acquistions on a fixed asset.
