I’m trying to see a way to do discounts by Item Group. I can create a Trade Agreement but don’t have an option for Item Group. Am I missing anything?

There are some combinations that are invalid, but I believe that you may need to activate item group combination as follows>
Sales and marketing > Setup > Price/discount > Activate price/discount > {line discount} then tick the combinations as appropriate.

No. You can align your pricing group to reflect your item group, but pricing reflects the pricing group to add flexibility.
