Write off obsolete inventory item

Can some explain the best way to write off an obsolete inventory item in AX.

Hey Tony,

Is your issue with the actual transaction, or finding obsolete or slow-moving items? If it’s the actual transaction, typically a movement or adjustment journal is used. The benefit of using a movement journal is you get to select an offset account in which to post the adjustment.

We have decided on using movement journal because of the added benefit of being able to select an offset account.
