I think maybe you have entered the wrong ServerInstance.
Check it in the CustomSettings.config file…

I have changed the CustomSetting file. And now am getting the bellow error. Am on Nav 2009 and using SQL express.

The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. Hi I have the same problem but i can access to RTC just from the Machine that host NAV Server , I tryed from other machine But i get the error:
the login failed when you connect to Sql Server
Are you using same account from both machines or different?
check whether you have added account in NAV users…
