Hi,
I have enabled Country specifc setup for Belgium.
Now i have POSTING JOURNALS under GL-Setup-Journal names
Why i am using posting journals?
I understand that if we would like to have Voucher series to be selected automatically according to Dates, then Posting journals are the only option.
in the Setup I have defined a Journal of DAILY type and named it as GEN.
I have created a Voucher series called V-GEN and attached it to GEN.
It has numbering as 2012-Q1-#### (for Quarter 1 of 2012)
When i created Posting Journal for my journal GEN, i have mentioned in the lower pane as follows:
V-GEN will be used for 01-01-12 to 31-03-12
V-GEN2 will be used for 01-04-12 to 30-06-12
i changed the Session date to 01 APRL;
System created a new journal, and date on Journal line is 01-APRIL; but System still picks from voucher series V-GEN
Since my Session date is 01 APR, System should have picked from V-GEN2. Any idea why i am not getting what i need?
