Oops..forgot my password.

Hello. I have this verry old database I used to experiment with. I putted it away, just for future use …it’s full of usefull things I once made. The problem: I forgot the password. I know: STUPID!!! Does anyone know what I can do about it? Anolis Sittard Netherlands

Hi, you can type ??? in user ID and system will tell you what you must to do. Valentin Gvozdev BMI Inc.

Yeah right, I should contact myself? Anolis Sittard Netherlands

No, you should contact Navision Software Nederland, they will contact Navision Denmark en they will provide an unlock key. Don’t close the ???-dialog while you are waiting for the key. Pleas note: Navision will charge you for an unlock key

I beleive the cost for the “unlock key” is approx. $250 (or DKK 2000). /Soren

Well, it was just a test database. I don’t think it’s worthed. Thanks anyway.

If you got a backup of the database done with the Navision’s backup option you can recover it without knowing the password (that’s a bug that still remains in Navision): open a new clear database and restore your backup on it. Without exiting, change the users’ passwords configuration for clearing the password of the user you want to use… and you can now exit and re-enter with that unpasswored user  Regards – Alfonso Pertierra apertierra@teleline.es Spain

Check out http://home.clara.net/simon53. The guy created a form 1111, so it seems he has cracked Navision Financials.

Not unless his License allows him to do it. If you try a save a Object to an incorrect Object ID it will complain, but if you look in the background it retaisn that number though not saved as it!

The back-up trick worked!

http://home.clara.net/simon53 is empty!

It is, thats weird!

This link works: http://home.clara.net/simon53/NaviFin_Ready.jpg

I think I know who the user is, and what company they come from… But Ill need to get some old paper work to be sure.
