Can i know Item Description and Description 2 has only 30 characters in Nav 2009.
when it comes customer/ Vendor it has 50 characters.
Is there any reason ?
Please let me know.
You want to know why a field lenght is a set size? Apart from the answer, that was the way it was designed?
The item has the ability to be described in description 1, description 2 and additional text. The name of a business is the name and it was clearly felt 50 was the right length. Whilst people want one description field that is bigger, not encountered the company name length being an issue.
