Installation of Connector for Microsoft Dynamics

Has anyone installed the Connector for Microsoft Dynamics that comes with the R3 Setup Successfully?
I seem to to be getting anywhere with this.
Tried two different setups on different Virtual Machines but NO SUCCESS on either.

I want to Integrate AX R3 and CRM 2013 - i haven’t gone beyond the Installation of Connector for Microsoft Dynamics.

Any assistance please???

See Snapshot below that comes immediately I click Install after all the prerequisites check is successful.

The error says that it can’t connect to the SQL server to which it’s deploying something - this seems to be the area you should investigate.

I have checked the connection and there’s indeed a connection to the database.

And from the log file extract below, I can tell that every check is successful…

Martin Dráb,

I realized that the issue might be SQL server 2014.

I tried the installation on my VM with SQL 2012 and it worked pretty well with no issues at all.

Next next Wizard, and I have my Connector in.

And also, SQL 2014 may just have an issue with MR instalaltions(Compatibility).

RESOLVED.

Apparently, the connector installer included in the R3 Setup was not updated,the one included only works with SQL 2012.

I used this link to get the latest version of connector.

I hope someone else won’t have to face this again…
