Importing Serial Numbers, Item Number and Manufacturing Date

Hello,

I am new to Dynamics AX. I just started this year preparing our AX 2009 for AIF exchange.

While learning the process, I noticed our InventSerial Table was empty. I guess when it was setup Inventory Tracking was not enabled and notbody had been manually updating these entries.

I have consolidated a list of InventSerialID, ItemId, ProdDate, Description to update this table.

I have setup an importTemplate using csv. The import Works with exception of the ProdDate. No matter I format I use or try it is always empty and there are no errors. I am missing something to copmplete this import?

My Import Template only includes the InventSerialID, ItemID, ProdDate, and Description.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Are you using AIF or normal data import routine? Have you tried to debug?
