How to insert Navision Objects into the Sql Server

Hi All,

This Is Santhosh Kumar. I am New Member To This ERP, According Our Company Requirement I have to Put Our Navision Data in Sql Server and Access That Data Through “FinSQL”. Now I want To Know One Thing is that How to put the Navision Objects in Sql Server. I hope i will get Respone As early As Possible.

Hi,

you can either restore the backup from the navision cd (just restore the objects) or, if you have your *.txt or *.obj files you open the object designer - files - import and choose the files you want to import.

Just to add to what Walter has already suggested, you have to use the Nav Client to update objects in the database, you can’t DTS/Script definitions into the database using EM/SSMS
