Free Text Invoice in Dynamics Axapta

Hi all, I am currently using “The Dynamics Axapta 2009 Sp1” ERP. I would like to know following things about ‘Free Text Invoice’ 1. What is the meaning of Free Text Invoice? 2. What is the Significance of creating the Free Text Invoice? 3. Where do we use the ‘FreeText Invoice’? 4. How is the ‘Free Text Invoice’ different from ‘Sales Order’?

It is for a sales tansaction that will not impact stock and does not need an inventory item to hang off. It allows descriptive text and posting directly to a ledger account. That answers all 4 really.

The most important feature of Free Text Invoice is sales of Fixed Assets.

In AX, FA can be disposed (sales) through Free Text Invoice.

Hi Pranav,

I need to exclude misc charges while calculating cash discount for Free Text invoice. Can you suggest me the classes where the logic should be?
