Execute permissions

Newby question from a new user.

We are in the process of implementing NAV 2009 and I have got a test system installed on my server recently. In order to install the client on user’s PC’s I found it was necessary to first set them up as users on the server using the Classic client, this I did with Windows authentication and allocated to them all the “Super” role.

I was then able to install the RTC on any workstation I choose.

Now the problem:

When I created a second company in the demo system and I wish to restrict access to this company to a small subset of the existing users. But when I removed them from this second company they no longer have access to Cronus via the RTC. Classic client works fine but they can no longer connect with RTC. The error message is “ No execute permission on “CodeUnit with ID 1.

Is it possible to have multiple companies but to restrict user access on each in RTC?

You have got a Role called “All”, just assign that one to the user (or Group) and do not limit to a company.

This should provide the necessary permissions.

And do not forget to synchronize Security.
