Capacity reservation AX2012

Hope you are doing very well.

Can any one explain to me the meaning of “Capacity reservation” in AX2012??

You have a machine that can produce for 10 hours a day, this is its capacity, you have a works order for 2 of these hours, this transaction is a capacity reservation.

Thanks for reply , but this option is not important for me , can I disable this option and not allow the system from reserving resources for production orders??

Reservation is not the same as stock reservation, just configure infinite capacity then if you have 1000 hours and capacity for 1 they are all scheduled in the same hour! Otherwise don’t use routes.
