Ax2009 hide unwanted company

hi all

in my ax2009 instance i have 6 companies,

i want to hide 3 companies instead of deleting

is it possible???

can anyone help me to solve this

i dont think so there is an option to hide the company…

if you want to hide the company for pecific users, you can do this by using security…

but to hide the company for all users including admin also is not possible…by hitting the kernal level classes you can do this but not recommended.

You can go to SysDataAreaSelect form and in ‘init’ method of datasource you can find the company record which you want to hide. so by this you would achieve it.

thanx for ur replies,

i tried tat security, but now am facing one more problem,

after changing the user permissions for the user, now am able to view only the Default company datas,

all the companies are hidden,

any solution for this???

what approac you have taken to assign the security…?

i just changed the user permissions alone

not yet did anything for hiding the companies,

jus i changed some of the permissions in user group, tats all :frowning:

in Administraton Module → setup → domain.

this is the way i solved my query.

I am having the same issue. We are currently running AX 2009 and I want to hide 4 companies that are closed. I came accross your post and was wondering if you can give me a step by step process? HOw do I find the company record and how do i hide it?
