Dear All,

while importing the new item data through excel template by using definition groups, the previous existing data is deleting in the item master related tables in ax 2009.

Hi Nanjappa,

Please explain, what do you want to achieve through data import ?

You can create a definition group with specfic tables only and while at data import if you go to advanced tab - uncheck the update exisiting record which will not overwrite the current/exisiting data at import.
