hi, Currently, I run the G/L Entry Report every day after the office hours. The running of the GL entry to print the data to the excel sheet takes nearly 30 mins for me. I want to automate the report generation and saving to excel file to a specified location. I use the windows NAV 2009 Classic Version. Can anyone guide me to reach my goal of automating the report?

Since you are running the report I am guessing that you are not a developer. This kind of task generally needs an intermediate to advanced developer. It involves setting up an Application Server and a Job Scheduler. The actual automation of the report to the same Excel sheet is also going to take some development work.
My best advice is to contact your NAV Partner and have them quote you on the hours it will take.
