SQL Error

Has anyone come across the following error message, which is received when users try to login.

This message is for C/AL programmers

The call to member open failed. Microsoft OLE DB Provider SQL. Server returned the following messageTimeout expired

Any help or hints would be most appreciated

Just to advise, in case anyone else gets this. This is now solved, a user had locked a table which was being referenced at startup.
