Purchase order journal remains even after deleting the PO from Purchase order details form

Hi,

I want to know that Is it a standard AX behavior that the purchase order journal remains even after we delete the PO from he purchase order details form.

If it is std ax behavior, can anybody let me the know the reasoning behind.
