Number Sequence

Dear All,

I have been facing an issue on number sequence recently where an already used voucher number (comes from number sequence) in one journal is used again in a new journal.

For Instance,

Voucher number CR14_000478 has been posetd in journal 005747_014, but it’s still assigned again in voucher line for newly created journal 005750_014.Also,the status of the voucher number CR14_000478 is still as ‘Free’ under Number sequenece maintenance, even it’s used for posted transactions.

Please help me in identifying the possible cause for this.

Hi,

Go to Number sequence and click on status list button. Delete the record by clicking Alt +F9 or File–> Delete record.

Hi the step you told will clear the number sequence from available(free) list which is a solution.But,can you please tell the possible reason why a already used number seqeunce is used again in a new journal.
