Number sequence redundancy

Hi all,

In the number sequences tab, say the next number is 100. I maually change it to 99. Then i add one more entry but still the number sequence is 100. There are two entries with number sequence 99.

Is there any way to stop this redundancy through code?

Rather make the field unique…
