no party defined for selected employee

Hi all,

when i add new employee i havethis error message :“no party defined for selected employee”

this is my first employee i add it manually, all old employees were loaded.

i searched in help and on net and i didnt find aclue.

If you type an entry into the name field this will populate your GAB interaction and you should be able to save the record.

Hi Ala,

This error message comes from ValidateWrite method in Employee table.

Essentially the ‘partyId’ (Address book Id) field in Employee table is not populated. When creating employees manually, try creating the record

  1. in Global address book details form under HR module with address book type as person and
  2. Click setup button and then set them up as employee
