Nav 4.0 - Win2000 - Terminal server -> Not enough colors in menu

Hi

We have a small problem with an Dynamics Nav 4.0 SP 3 installation which runs on a Windows 2000 server. If you start a navision client from a terminal server the navísion menu doesn’t look good.

We think it’s because The terminal server only supports 256 colors. Does anybody know this problem and do you have a way to solve this problem or a workaround ?

we run the same set up, only it is navision 4.0 no service pack, the terminal server clients that have a washed out look are some old wyse winterms that have very limited grapics, new wyse winterm clients and clients with full PC’s with good graphics cards, look fine accessing Navision through terminal server 2000, even with only 256 colors.

Now, you may go to 2003, as it supports more colors, and it has more features, of coarse it cost a lot more to upgrade to 2003 terminal server.

For instance a win2000 pro client can access a windows 2000 terminal server without an additional terminal server cal. but in 2003 they eliminated the equivilant operating system license and now even and XP or Vista client would need a terminal server cal to access a 2003 terminal server.
