How to take backup objects before import the xpo files?

Hi All,

How to take backup objects before import the xpo files?

Is there any automatic functionality or any add on available? Because it will help me to reduce the time when i import the objects.

It’s usually not needed at all. Development environments have version control and other environments either don’t use .xpo files for delivery, or you backup the modelstore (layers in older versions) after release and revert it if needed, such has if the next release fails.

Nevertheless you can import just the project definition and export current version of objects. It’s slow and not reliable (especially because of the human element), therefore it’s safer to avoid any manipulations with .xpo files.
