Financials/Attain in Storage Area Network anyone ?

Hi, does anyone have experiences with Storage Area Networks ? How does it perform, if you share it with your Fileserver ? I’m interested in any details, especially Compaq/HP Hardware. (e.g. MSA 1000) Thanks Dirk
