Financial Management Exam

I have passed Navision Financial Management Exam in Dec 2002, am I eligible for a devolopers licence? could any body let me know. Thanks ds

Hi Well the straight answer has to be “no”. There is a Navision Programming exam to sit in the UK but I am also aware of the developers exam in tht rest of the world. As far as I am aware you have to sit the course and then pass the developers exam, although these requirements do alter slightly from country to country. [;)]

Hi Connull - we have a few implementations in progress and a few new potential sales - so yes, things are going OK (especially bearing in mind that I don’t feel as though I have time to prepare for and take my exam due to customer commitments…) A

It does seem to be the bane of a Navision consultant’s life that there is never any time available for them to improve & consolidate their skills in office hours.[:(] This is the case of all three NSCs I have worked for - and matches the experiences of other people I know elsewhere. You go on a course, say Fixed Assets, you get back to the office & find work waiting for you to do & six months later, when it has evaporated, you get asked to do something with Fixed Assets…yesterday… Guess the answer is to study late…[|)] By the way - Congrats Steven!

Ed, So, when do you have to take the exam? I assume you’re going too? [?]

Hi Connull, Not booked yet - Am going to talk to “the powers that be” about it. I’m keen to get it done as soon as possible! Thinking about it - I should start swotting now, so I am ready.[:D]

Ed, Glad I don’t have to take it! [:D] Good luck anyway - for when you take it!

Congratulations Steve. Your manufacturing mind is now contaminated with financial stuff … [:(]

Hi to everyone Thanks for the congratulations - I hope everyone in the UK is as lucky as me (I did not even know the GL Consolidations Elimination Report existed let alone what it did [:D]). Gunther - Ironically I may have to resit the manufacturing exam - the first one I sat was classroom based, but we will hear about this later in the year - joy [:D] Finance and Manufacturing are naturally two areas that should be kept apart, at least every training session I have been on has decided to ignore manufacturings financial implications!

To Mr Steven Weaver Thanks for your reply. DS

Now doesn’t that make me sound mysterious [:D]

He he he! Mr Steven Weaver [:D]

Well Mister Connull Dunbar esquire Do you have a problem with that? - do you want to tell the whole class? [:D]

Well - when i used to work in BE [:D] - the mnf. course was a 4 days course… the last 10 minutes of that 4 days was on mnf. costing. Now thaey have made it a full day.

Steven, --------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: Do you have a problem with that? - do you want to tell the whole class? --------------------------------------------------------------------- It’s just when anyone calls me Mr. Dunbar, I turn around looking for my Dad! Still a young boy at heart! [:D] No offence meant! Mr Steven Weaver [:p]

Hi Connull No it was a jokey headmaster response. No offence was taken! [:D] Are you chewing gum?

No sir, not guilty! [:D]

Hey chaps - guess what??? One of our consultants came back really thrilled today as he passed his Essentials course with flying colours… Only to be called by Microsoft later in the day to be told that he had actually taken the Austrian test instead of the GB test!!! Make sure you look out for this one if you need to sit the test (as we work in IT is is quite unreasonable to expect us to actually read the instructions before doing the test!!)

Hi Ali I think the exam prefix is an indicator - always look for GB for here [:D]. Really bad luck though with AU being top of the list!

Mmmm- I have a yodelling bear that I am going to bring in and put on his desk tomorrow (no offence to all you Austrians out there)
