In AX 2012, We can create SSRS reports using x++ logic(Query/RDP/Temp table) using Visual studio and SQL(query, views, stored procedure, cubes) with Visual studio. In AX 2012, BI users can access Live data base to run their BI queries.
In Dynamics 365, Still we can create SSRS reports using x++ logic(Query/RDP/Temp table) using Visual studio. But we want to create reports using SQL(query, views, stored procedure, cubes) with Visual studio then we don’t have access to Live database. We have concept of Data Entities, We can push data from data entity to on-premise server but there is delay of time because we want to run reports/cube for Live database.
Is anybody knows what is the approach for BI queries/cube/reports to create in Dynamics 365 towards Live database?
