AX2009 : Field filter for User name functionality does not work

Good day all,

I just want to confirm a bug in the filter functionality when trying to filter the AX Username.

Steps followed ( AX 2009)

  1. Go to Basic → Enquiries → Workflow history
  2. Filter workflows in Pending state
  3. For those workflow’s with a user pending approval, click Reassign
  4. Reassign workitem screen pops up
  5. Dropdow the user grid
  6. Hit the tab button till the curosn stops at the field, User name
  7. Press Ctrl + F and type your selection
  8. Step 7 returns ALL the records regardless of the criteria.

Note :- The Grid filter (Ctril + G) works for any fiels in this screen.

I also tried this AX 2012 and there was no issue with the field search.

Please advise if this is indeed an AX 2009 issue.

The search is intentionally disabled in \Forms\WorkflowUserListLookup\Data Sources\SysCompanyUserInfo\Methods\executeQuery

It looks like the Filter by grid overrides it
