Hi am struggling working with AIF.,

Is Biztalk Server necessary for AIF in AX 2009.

Can anyone suggest me a good material to go through AIF

Can anyone help me out with this??

BizTalk is not mandatory, although it may be easier to use it as an intermediate segment rather than integrating multiple systems directly.

There are quite a few AIF white papers available online for you to go through. However I would suggest a training course if this is green field area for you.

Usually BizTalk is used in enterprise scale projects with significant amount of data transformation. But this requirement can be very well achieved within AIF by using Pipeline and Transforms functionality (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg840969.aspx).
