ZUP file versus Navision 2.60

Hello, Does anyone know how Navision 2.60 handles users-settings? Is this still being captured in a ZUP-file? If so, where can I find that (Server or local)?. I’m asking this because users are complaining because each time when they log in, their settings are gone. Thanks, Roelof.

It’s by default placed in: C:\Documents and Settings<user name>\Application Data Lars Strøm Valsted Head of Project and Analysis Columbus IT Partner A/S

Thanks, But the next question is: A client of our company was logging in into Navision 2.60 for the first time, after we installed it. They use Novell for capturing passwords etc and Navision is running under windows NT. After she re-logged in into Navision she lost her settings. How is that possible? Could it be possible that Navision never create a ZUP file because it didnt know where to put it? Roelof.

The question is, how the shortcut looks like, the user uses to access Navision. For example: The shortcut on the PC to access the Navision db could read C:\Fin260\fin.exe id=C:\Fin260\ImSuper, server=… The “id=” parameter tells where the zup file will be stored. In this case as C:\Fin260\ImSuper.ZUP If the id=-Parameter points to a common directory, it’s possible that all users are using the exactly same ZUP-file and therefore overwriting each others settings. Thanks!
