Workflow history shows as "Pending" with elapsed time 0 hours, 0 minutes not changing status to "Cancelled"

Hello all,

When a workflow is submitted for approval (PR or PO), on the workflow history (Actions → View history), it shows as “Pending”. Now let’s say for some reason, the user recalls the workflow within a minute and then the status turns to “Cancelled” on View history. Now elapsed time shows 0 hours, 0 minutes. So on top and bottom, it shows Cancelled.

Now taking the above case, if the workflow is cancelled within a minute and then the status still shows as “Pending” on the top with elapsed time 0 hours, 0 minutes, what could be the possible reason for this? I mean, it should show as “Cancelled” but it’s stuck on “Pending”. Again if it is recalled and submitted again, this instance of workflow doesn’t change to “Cancelled”.
